Members Anna Fishburn and Larry Rawson settle in for dinner and the meeting. Visiting Rotarian Toshi Kanaya from Japan joins members Kaz Nomi and Darrell Allison at their table. Jonathan Okabe chats with fellow member Richard Hughes, who will be headed back to the San Juan Islands in WA state very soon. Carolyn Stapleton (L) was the guest of member Constance Hassell this evening. Vocational Service Director Jane Ferreira shares a few moments with visiting Rotarian John Wardlaw from West Houston and his guest Susan Goodwin.
About to get the meeting underway, Prez Paul confers with member Anna Fishburn. President Paul Juecsak presented his State of the Club address this evening, reviewing the Club's accomplishments thus far this Rotary year. Membership Director Marco Schlesser urges everyone onward to bring in a potential new-member to our special meeting on April 5th. PE Beth Hoban makes a few announcements of upcoming events as she prepares to depart for PETS next month. Our guest speaker tonight was Lara Reynolds of the Oahu Invasive Species Committee informing us of several plants and animals that we DON'T want on our Island.
Prez Paul has guest speaker Lara Reynolds sign a book that we'll donate in her name to Jefferson Elementary. PP Harry Kubota with potential member Andy Arakaki, guest speaker Lara Reynolds, member Nancy Manley, and Secretary Al Dixon's wife, Hattie.
