Our check-in crew this evening - Darrell Allison, Jerry Taniyama, and Club Service Director Sharon Ehrhorn. Guests Grace and Peter Blodgett with PE Beth Hoban and President Paul Jurcsak upon arrival at the WYC. Sandy Gaston, with his ever-present smile and shaka, enjoys the evening meal and the Yacht Club ambience with Club Service Director Sharon Ehrhorn. Prez Paul welcomes all current members and their guests to kick off a Membership Drive meeting with a widespread program. Member Elle Zhang delivers the Thought For The Day.
Membership Director Marco Schlesser welcomes all of the evening's guests with a presentation about the values of becoming a Rotarian and membership in our club. Tennis Pro and volunteer coordinator Leilani Magee reminds us of the upcoming opportunity to participate in Rotary At Work Day, April 28th, at the Palolo Park project. PP Harry Kubota is presented with his SECOND conch for his White Hat donor status.  Very impressive giving Harry.  Congratulations! New Generations Director Glen Bailey presents a slide show of photos taken during his trip to the Philippines in support of the Aloha Medical Mission project. Glen's wife Loren accompanies Hawaii volunteers on the first day of setting up the pharmacy in the Philippines. Glen's wife Loren is pictured here with two of the American medical volunteers. Here, Dr. Magic Glen's wife Loren in scrubs is pictured with some of the local Philippino lady volunteers. Every child was given a stuffed animal after their operation.
President Paul presents our Paramedic of the Year award to Kenny Faria of the Honolulu EMS Department for his service to the community. Here, Paramedic Kenny Faria receives congratulations from President Paul and Dr. Jim Ireland, Director of the Honolulu EMS Department. A gathering of the club's Paul Harris Fellows in honor of Rotary Founder Paul Harris' birthday born on April 19, 1868.
