Visitor Michele Costa joined members Sandy Gaston and Sharon Ehrhorn. Michele contacted us through our website and came to find out more about Rotary. Dad & daughter members Paul and Cari Belczak always brighten the room with their smiles. A little pre-meeting gathering of members Glen Bailey, Jonathan Okabe, and Doug Kam-Young. Drinks and popcorn. PE Jan Reischel on her third week of running the meetings while President Beth is on vacation. A Past President of her former club, she did it with ease. Member Sharon Ehrhorn delivers the Thought For The Day.
Our Rotary Moment was presented this evening by Sandy Gaston. Sgt-At-Arms James Buchner gave a vocational talk about his teaching and computer training background, much of which was performed in Japan. He says he's been doing it so long he can do it with his eyes closed now. Community Service Director & PP Harry Kubota gives a run down on current and future service projects. Once again, PP Paul Jurcsak is keeping us up to date on the reasons we haven't seen certain members for a while. Visiting Honolulu Club Rotarian Phil Whitney gives a very thorough introduction of our accomplished guest speaker, Dr. Robert Jedicke.
Astronomer Dr. Robert Jedicke gave a very interesting explanation of Earth's mini moons - actually natural satelites - and their irregular orbits around the Earth.
