Dr. Charlie Weems gave a Vocational Talk on his profession and career as professor and research specialist in Animal Science at UH Manoa. Charlene Anaya of Kids First was our guest speaker. Charlene Anaya of the Kids First organization was our guest speaker for the evening. Here President Elect Paul presents Charlene with a Library Book to autograph to give to our adopted school  Jefferson Elementary. District 5000 Officers enjoyed some time together:  DG John Steelquist, Secretary Jim Hoban, Assistant DG Liz Kane. The club members welcomed back PDG Ayman El-Dakhakhni (center) from his trip to Egypt. We are happy that he is back safe and sound and send our good wishes out to his family who live there. Here Ayman shares dinner with Ash Matar and Marco Schlesser.
Sunset Rotarian Constance Hassell donated Aloha Dollars in honor of PDG Ayman's safe return home and for the safety of his family in Egypt. PE Paul Jurcsak congratulates Sunset Rotarian Christel Yount for her work with the Waialae Elementary Charter School Book Project. Christel read a  card from the school thanking  the club for their donation. WOW! Look at all those boxes of rubber slippers!!! Thank you to Community Service Director Johnny Sanchez and his employer Costco for donating hundreds of pairs to the homeless shelter, River of Life, and to the keiki at Jefferson Elementary!  This was a great donation! MAHALO Rotaractors! Thank you for your donation of $4000 to PDG Ayman's for the Rotary International Rotoplast Mission. You will be helping hundreds of children and adults to have a happy, useful life. PDG Ayman thanked the Rotaract CLub of UH Manoa for raising $4000 for the Rotoplast mission. This donation will help a lot of people.
Fellowship time watching a beautiful sunset at the Waikiki Yacht Club:
Peter Kirov, Charles Jones, Rich Zegar, and Jane Ferreira. Enjoying the delicious food that the Waikiki Yacht Club prepares for us are: Kaz Nomi, Yoshie Weems,PE Paul Jurcsak, Richard Hughes, and PP Harry Kubota. PE Paul Jurcsak exchanged banners with our British Rotarian visitor.
